The University of Michigan has 50 Distinguished University Professors (DUP), of which 6 are now (2011-2012) in the College of Engineering (in 2012 the CoE had 350 professors). The selection process of DUPs is done by the UM Provost office. In 2010 professor Yoram Koren was appointed as a UM DUP, and on March 27, 2012 he delivered the DUP Lecture, entitled “On Dreams and Timing.”
